The Yamuna continued to rise stadily in Delhi, touching 206.78 meters 0n Sept 11 after Hathnikund reservoir had released about 6.07lakh cusec water. yamuna touched 207.11 metres on wednesday night 22nd Sept. 2010.
thus the city witnessed its worst flood since 1978. it led to water gushing into many low lying ares in Delhi.
With homes under 5-6 feet water, the residents were put great hardship in some of the low lying ares in Delhi.
